Fair housing and Owner Occupied units
If the owner of a house lives in the house and is renting a room : Fair Housing Laws do not apply. If the owner is renting more than 3 rooms, the laws may come into play. Also, if these rooms are rented on Craigslist or other public forum, then fair housing applies.
