I don’t know…. The quarentine has gotten to her . She made Lemonade with fresh lemons and dug out this dress from preschool.

I keep forgetting to turn on the zoom so today Alicia texted me to remind me. Yay!
We connected the zoom to our TV. Do you think it’s big enough?

I hope you don’t get Covid-19
I hope you don’t get Covid-19.
If you do catch it,
I hope you are asymptomatic.
If you have symptoms, I hope they are mild.
If they are severe, I hope you are not miserable.
If they are severe:
I hope you survive.
If you do survive I hope you don’t have Post ICU trauma (a real form of PTSD)
If you survive I hope you don’t have long term lung problems or long term neurological problems (which is the source of the lack of taste symptom), or heart issues : all documented in some post severe COVID patients.
I don’t know what the other long term after effects are, nobody does.
So please, play it safe – as inconvenient and lonely as that might be.
Mothering during a pandemic
I read somewhere that a mom was looking for a yard sign to congratulate her toddler for a toilet training.
Lady, I got you covered.

Meanwhile Darla and I picked up lunch at the world famous Derby in Arcadia California. We had bacon-wrapped filet mignon and string beans which she loves. We took the bottle of wine and dropped it off at my aunt Joan’s house because she is also my godmother. And then I mostly slept for the rest of the day.
Happy Mother’s Day to you and to all of the mothers out there.

Love when she knows how to Zoom better than I do, and use my paintings as a background

Adventures in distance learning

School from Home
Darla is meeting with her class and teachers via ZOOM.
I am watching from the office. She moves too much and of course, insists on taking the call from my room which is not lovely (at the moment).
This is so surreal. We are reinventing education as we go. I am so thankful to Ms. Walker and Fenton Charter schools.
I might be even more thankful if Darla would stop trying to hold her cats up and have them join class!
