It was all about The Little Mermaid for Darla, really though.

The last time I lived with a 3 year old: I was 25 years old.

Darla is making a wish on the a wish Bottle from yesterday. It is mine. My wish is that I raise her to be a good and healthy person who continues to find joy.

It is basically the same wish I carried in my heart with Jackie , when I would hand sew her costumes and raid the thrift stores and hold her hostage to my camera obsession.

17 years apart- I’m still pretty much the same mom.

Cars, houses, education, friends, better camera separate now from then.

What hasn’t changed is the soul filling joy of a little kid throwing her arms around me and telling me that she had a fun weekend.
