Darla's Mom

From farm to new frontiers.We.went to a farm/petting zoo where she milled a cow to home. She is now assembling a rocket. I am not allowed to help, make suggestions or otherwise interfere.

I may have a storage container addiction problem. The lids are in a separate container under my sink.

I am cooking with grilled chicken and bowtie pasta on the stove, I have a lasagna in the oven, frozen pork chops in the instant pot and chili in the Crock-Pot.

I am hoping not to have to cook again for a whole week and I’m also taking some food to my friends elderly parents. It turns out that I don’t know how to cook Health Food only comfort food but I’m learning.

I used to run out of songs to sing to Darla so I would make up my own. My friend is living next to a very loud toddler so I made up this song for her to play, loudly until the parents get the hint.

The very best thing about where we live is that the school is 200 yards away so we walk there every morning. Darla enjoys riding her scooter that one of the neighbor families gave her. All of the girls in the neighborhood playgroup have one.

1/2 way through the first week back.Darla woke up at 2:30 this morning and came into my room and then she slept in his till 6:30. She was angry when she woke up because she overslept. She wanted to be at before school care through ypi when it opened. Its 7:15 and school does not start until 7:50 and she’s still mad about being later than she wanted.

I am counting my blessings that she really likes School. I also need to remember to go to Target today and buy her some shorts to wear under her dresses

While I am sorting through job offers and Darla is on break from school, Disneyland seemed like a great idea.

We went first with our friends from her Preschool days and next with our friends from my college and @JDI years.

My feet hurt, but Oh what fun!
