Today was a perfect "Our Town" kinda of day.
Lots of "I love you’s" and snuggles and basic family moments of life.

Cooking , shopping, packing lunches and every day activities.

Joy comes on small moments and today was a perfect collection of them.

List. Coupons. Meal plan . Reusable grocery bag. We will be packing lunches for her from here in out and making dinner together.

School lunches always make me feel inadequate.

"Look mom, I’m snuggly with my baby. I love her."

For my part, I think dolls are creepy, but it is sweet to see a nurturing side to Darla

Notice the subtle arm on my neck to keep me from getting away as she brushes my hair.

Can girls wear Boy Super Hero shirts?

30 minutes of "I’m a girl and I like butterflies. Superman is a biy, he don’t like butterflies! I can’t wear Superman!"

It is too early to explain that Superman us a humanoid space alien and may not have gender assignments the way actual humans do.

So we settled the debate of "Girls liking whatever they want!" With a call to Samantha. G.G.M. Samantha is the ultimate female and I happen to know she loves Batman and Darth Vader.

Samantha told Darla it is fine to support any superhero you love and it is fine to like anything g if you are a boy or of you are a girl.

Now we are all smiles.

The very best thing about being Darla’s mom is spending time with her.

3 years 9 months is a wondrous age.
She is potty trained, rational, and a great conversationalist.

This is fun.
